Shopportunity -- April 2

Yoox is having their extra-special The End of Sales. Up to an Extra 80% off on YOOX.COM
which ends April 15th. It's definitely worth checking this out -- they have some great stuff at great prices, although sizes are extremely limited. Here's some fantastic stuff I found, and everything on this page is under $200!

Alexander McQueen jeans for 60 bucks.

I happen to love argyle, and who does it better than Pringle? Especially for $68.

iconicon

Very beautiful Nina Ricci skirt for $149.

iconicon

Victor & Rolf. Yeah, they're weird, but this cardigan is wonderful.

iconicon

Perfect LBD from Martin Grant. He makes such gorgeous dresses -- my perfect LBD is a Martin Grant, and I look I'm screen-testing for an Audrey Hepburn movie in it.

iconicon

Really fabulous animal-print skirt from Prada. Love it with those red shoes -- mee-ow.

iconicon

DVF is always good, charmeuse blouses are always useful.

iconicon

Glorious tangerine Martin Margiela.

iconicon

Perfect, perfect chocolate brown crepe de chine dress, also from Martin Margiela. Wear it by itself, or put a thin cashmere sweater or a silk blouse under it. You'll wear this for the rest of your life.

iconicon

Very adorable party skirt from Matthew Williamson. Just please don't wear it with a black sweater and these godawful school secretary shoes. Sorry, folks, this is most definitely not a day-to-evening garment.

iconicon

Stunning black velvet jacket from Piazza Sempione. The clothes from this company are always spectacularly high quality, and the detail on this is just beautiful. If you don't have a black velvet jacket, now is the time.

iconicon

Buttercup yellow cashmere from Ralph Lauren. 'Nuff said.

iconicon

Ralph Lauren plaid waistcoat. I myself bought a plaid vest last year (not this one) and I love that silly thing beyond reason. So sexy with a pencil skirt and a silk blouse, so fun with jeans and a long-sleeved tee. Trust me, you'll love it.

iconicon

Purple velvet & diamante Roberto Cavalli sandals for $162 -- the mind reels. If you wear an 8.5, buy these right now.

iconicon

Versace glamor for 100 bucks. This is really beautiful -- I love the asymmetrical neckline and the sleeves, and there's a pattern woven into the knit that you can't see unless you click on the link and check out the zoom. Lovely sweater.

So, go! Shop!!

A last-minute lagniappe for you all -- a little bird told me about a coupon code you can use on Yoox.com: enter "yoox2008" in the box for codes when you check out and it ought to get you another 10% off your purchases!

I ordered the DVF blouse AND the Piazza black velvet jacket. Will let you know how they work out.

Oh, good! I can't wait to hear if that jacket is as nice as I suspect it will be...

I'll probably need to have the sleeves taken up a little, but it looks like there's room for that. I'll let you know! Wow, talk about a markdown!!!

Great picks! You should do all my shopping for me in the future.

Well, the DVF blouse arrived today and it's lovely except....

there's NO FREEKIN BUTTONS or any way to close the blouse between the collar and the waistband! (They might have mentioned that somewhere. When one buys a blouse one assumed it will CLOSE in the front!) So it just gapes open, even though there's plenty of room. This is a blouse more appropriately worn by Jennifer Lopez on the red carpet with a lot of Hollywood tape. So sorry to say it's going back.

The jacket hasn't arrived yet, but I have higher hopes.

Hi! When you first posted this, I ordered a coral-colored Armani shrug with kimono sleeves and a cardigan with sheer sleeves and a wide collar that has crocheted ruffles that are 1 - 2 inches high. But I *just now* ordered the Nina Ricci skirt you linked to in your post, as well as a Alessandro de Benedetti steel blue satin blazer with wide, leather-trimmed lapels that look a bit like a cape.

I just wanted to you to know that the sale's still going on -- there's no link on their page that I can see, but if you have bookmarked any of the items, then you can get back to the sale. It's called a sample sale now, and all sales are final -- but still lots of stuff!!
