Answered Prayers

Oh. My. God.

I can learn how to make my own shoes.

I ordered this book so fast it would make your heads spin.

So I guess in a couple of months I'll be able to crank out a pair of these:

(Bottega Veneta)

or these, that I've been crying over for months:

(Manolo Blahnik. Called the Pangala, I have since discovered.)

I know, I know... But think of the money I could save!! This is a definite step up from tying flowers to my shoes. I'll let you know how it goes.

Thought you might be interested in this -- it's the required reading for a shoe construction course a friend teaches. It includes the book you linked to!

Laura -- ::thud!:: You have a friend who teaches a shoe construction course?? Amazing! I will pay very close attention to all this material. I got my book from Mary Loomis today and I am pretty sure I can make shoes after reading it. Can't wait to get started!
