(My top three cities: Austin, New York, London. So hats off and thanks to you guys!)
This is the map overlay from my analytics program, the one that tells me how many people are reading my blog and where they're located (Big Brother is watching you!) and all that stuff. When I want a kick, I go look at this. People in almost 1800 different cities visited my blog last month. Which is pretty cool.
But.
It's not enough. Because what I'm aiming for, good or ill, is complete domination of the fashion world.
That's right! You heard me! Please be assured -- I do not simply want power for power's sake. And I do promise to be a benevolent overlord (except to those of you who insist on wearing Crocs). But I want access. I want pull, weight, influence, drag. Because the more of that I get, the more stuff I can share with you. I want to be one of those people who gets aaaaaaaall the insider info and opportunities, so I can pass them on to my wonderful readers. And I want Anna Wintour to listen to me when I talk to her about that damned haircut.
(And while I'm at it, I'm going to have a word with Grace Coddington, as well.)
In the blogosphere, this is all about numbers. So my marketing consultant and I (Yes, I have a marketing consultant. So what if she's one of my best friends and does this for free because she loves me? She's still a darned fine marketing consultant!) have determined that it's time to get the numbers up up up!
And that's where you come in. Here's how you can help.
1. Between now & June 1, forward my blog information to five friends or acquaintances who don't already read it. Encourage them to subscribe to the blog through the RSS feed or to follow it on Blogspot.
2. Once you've done this, please leave me a comment on this post saying so. Why? Because...
3. On June 1, I'm going to draw a name from those in the comments and the winner receives a little goodie bag filled with skincare & perfume samples, as well as a $20 gift certificate to the Style Spy Affiliate of your choice (provided they offer GCs -- not all of them do, sorry!).
Everyone wins. Of course, this will be on the honor system, but my readers are a trustworthy and upstanding group of Fashionistas if ever there was one, so I'm not worried.
So. That's about that. Help Style Spy achieve Complete Fashion Domination, one click at a time. Because together we can make the world a better place. (Or at least a better-looking one.)

Was Grace Coddington ill in 2007? becasue she truly looks unwell. I'm not being sarcastic, I am wondering.
Just done this. Good luck with the world domination!

Frances
I did it! And I sent this on to my good friend Tim Gunn. j/k :)
I just shared this with all of my FaceBook friends, a great many of whom are costume designers, sewers, drapers, and the like. They'll love this blog. I don't know why I didn't think to turn them on to it before. Well, I have now! StyleSpy should definitely be our Supreme Fashion Overlord!
(Should I bow down now, or will that jinx it?)
Oh, and one of my FB friends had dinner with Tim Gunn recently, and I am not joking! Color me soooo jealous.
I did it!
Done. Put you on my Facebook page. Does that count?
I am SO going to back you up when you have that haircut chat.
Attached a link to my Facebook page and wrote a rec!
I've just done a blog post. Does that count?
Just put you in my blog reader, Protopage.
Check out my blog. Just featured you!
Okay, couldn't stop @ 5, I sent it to.. (I actually counted, how sad am I?) 49 women!
Why did I do it? Because I truly love your blog, but also - if I"m really being honest - because I find it easier to promote other people than myself. I've only started my blog a few months ago - and my husband has been pushing me every step of the way. The nature of blogging is self-promotional and yet, as women, most of us hate doing it.
I've always felt there are two types of women: the girls' girls (the Jens of the world) and the.. well, the Angelina's. The second type only care about winning. It's admirable in a twisted - it's the survival gene - but it's also a deeply unpleasant way to live.
When I set out to ask people to do link swaps, some - the ones who feel they're a big deal - didn't have the courtesy to reply.
But what blew me away was, people like you - and all the other lovely men & women - but mostly, women - who not only put me up (even tho they knew my readership wouldn't make a dent in their visit numbers) but also COMMENT and take part in the conversation! That means to much to me, Amy.
Sorry to go on so long - I'm amazed it isn't cutting me off- and please, don't pick me as the winner as it would cost a fortune to ship the prize to the UK (my prize is just doing it - and in the process, I'm promoting myself anyway! : ) - it's just I've found I've spent the morning choosing who to go on the StyleSpy Promotion List (I haven't sent it to everyone) and it really got me thinking about what matters in this crazy world. I've realised that I want to be a girls' girl, til I draw my last breath, because life's too short not to have a generous heart.
Thanks so much to all of you for your support! Don't forget -- anonymous commenters need to leave a name or some other identifier!!

cheers!
